Demeter and Persephone Hugging

A loving depiction of the reunion between the searching mother her missing daughter, just released from the Underworld. The blackness falls away as mother and daughter embrace, bringing new life back to the world.

But having eaten pomegranate seeds, Persephone is now linked to Hades and must return to the underworld for half of each year to rule by his side as queen.
