 Goddess Kali is the ultimate feminine power of destruction. She is driven and wild with her heart and mind set upon devouring and destroying. Lord Shiva realized even he could not reason with such an elemental force, and had touch her emotions. He lay down in the Goddess’ path, and when Kali reached Lord Shiva, she did not notice him until she stepped on his chest. Then sudden realization dawned on her, and she awoke from her rampage.
